Je me présente avec des convictions claires sur la bonne gouvernance, la croissance responsable et le genre de communauté que je souhaite contribuer à bâtir. Mais je ne crois pas qu'une candidate devrait arriver avec toutes les réponses avant d'avoir entendu les citoyens qu'elle souhaite représenter.

Au cours des prochaines semaines, je serai présente dans le quartier 6 pour écouter les résidents, comprendre leurs préoccupations et apprendre ce qu'ils souhaitent préserver — et ce qu'ils veulent voir changer.

Ces conversations contribueront à préciser mes priorités et les engagements que je prendrai envers vous.

Une chose, cependant, ne changera pas : ma façon de prendre des décisions. Je poserai des questions, j'examinerai les faits, j'écouterai différents points de vue et je serai toujours consciente que les décisions prises à l'hôtel de ville ont des conséquences réelles pour les contribuables et notre communauté.

I'm entering this campaign with clear convictions about good governance, responsible growth and the kind of community I want to help build. But I don't believe a candidate should arrive with all the answers before hearing from the people they hope to represent.

Over the coming weeks, I'll be out in Ward 6 listening to residents, understanding their concerns and learning what they want to protect — and what they want to see change.

Those conversations will help shape my priorities and the commitments I ultimately make to you.

One thing, however, won't change: how I will approach decisions. I will ask questions, examine the evidence, listen to different perspectives and always remember that decisions made at City Hall have real consequences for taxpayers and our community.
